Harvest of March

March has been busy.

The Munchkin turned 3. Say what? I have a 3 year old? Yes, yes I do. Per her request, the day was centered on Finding Nemo and was shared with friends and family. Happy little girl.

A leprechaun reeked havoc in our house with green food, green toilet water and a pot of gold of Rolo's, cause that is what I like.

Little C is almost 10 months old and growing like crazy. Teething and drooling are high on her daily "to-do" list.

Having a freezing dang cold arctic picnic on a beach in Seattle. I promised the Munchkin we could do it. Warm at our house, freezing at the beach. Did I mention it was cold? And why do kids seem to be immune to cold? I was ready to go within 30 seconds. But I'm not that mean, I let us stay about 10 minutes, that is how mean I am. Don't ask me what the people in the background are doing there, they are crazy.

I dropped a 2 1/2 pound wedge of Jarlesberg on my toe. Maybe karma for only staying at the beach for 10 minutes?

Austin harvested his beard - aka he shaved.

And I somehow conned Austin into watching Little Dorrit with me.
He originally thought I said Little Borat, which may have something to do with why he watched it.

Is love a fancy or a feeling... or a Ferrars?

Without going into any detail (because things like bodily function details make me very uncomfortable) and with a long, hard knock on wood, the score:

Potty-training: 1 Me: Victory!

Two weeks accident free, but still diapers at night. That counts, right? The 1 point for potty-training was a well deserved point, bravo to the Munchkin for that one.

And a Happy Belated Valentine's to you all. In keeping the spirit of love going I challenge anyone to watch this:

Count the number of times the word "awesome" or "amazing" is thrown out there. Add them up and try to beat that number in one days time while talking about your significant other.

For those that enjoyed V-day solo, or wish their honey snuggled them a bit more, might I suggest:

**Fuzzy thoughts sent to the person who can name the movie that the title of this post is from.

Me v. Pottytraining

I'm cracking down this week on getting rid of these. On the head or on the behind, I want them gone.

Dizzyland

My hardrive crashed and burned. Hence the delay in pictures, which I've lost most of.

Anyway, have you been to Disneyland in the Fall? I hadn't before, but I must say I think it is the bee's knees. It's decked out in all things fall and the weather is perfect.

Some things from the trip:

Here is the entire group. We were also joined by various cousins throughout our stay which was so fun.

The Munchkin had breakfast with all the princesses, which was worth it, because have you heard that people stand in line for 3 hours to see them? 3 hours?!?! I was forewarned and booked the princess breakfast.

Little Charlotte celebrated 4 months of livelihood by hanging out in a baby carrier and learning to sleep in it. Don't call child services on me, she could breathe, I promise.

The Munchkin aka "Blond Snow White" went trick-or-treating at California Adventure the first night and passed out from a candy induced coma around 10:30 in baby Wyatt's carseat. Lost all those pics, this is the only one from my phone.

The Munchkin loved the castle, or the temple as she called it. She would remind us that the princesses and Heavenly Father live there. Ehhh.....good enough for right now.

Waiting with cousins for the parade to start....

...the Munchkin being pulled to dance in the parade (made her day)....

...Charlotte just glad to have Mickey Mouse confetti on her....

These two were inseparable. Cousin G and the Munchkin.

Me: Hurry take the picture, Charlotte is starving
Amelia: Do my mouse ears taste as good as they look?
Austin: I love my fluffy JFK Jr. hair from riding Splash Mountain.

A quick stop by the beach before heading home. Uncle Kyle hauling Munchkin around.

Just

The Munchkin likes to talk; boy does she like to talk. Sometimes in all her gibberish a little gem pops out. For the last week or so she has added the word just to her vocabulary. I first overheard it when she was playing with her toy tiger. She said to him in a very sweet voice "just don't be a tiger," it's not that easy I thought. Then one day when the babe was crying she said to her in the same sweet voice, "just stop crying," oddly enough, she did stop crying! Maybe it is that easy.

On she went saying just before almost anything and, strangely, most of the time things would go her way. So I decided to give it a go. This morning I pulled out a pair of pre-pregnancy pants. Just make them fit I said to myself.

It didn't work.

I think I need to start with statements like just don't eat that tenth Oreo first.

Hot Temps and Cool Family

We had a heatwave here last week. Not big news to many, but here in Seattle where AC's are scarce, it was brutal. Our upstairs was hovering around 102 on Wednesday and our little window AC unit was gasping its last cool breath.
I was done. Packed up, hit the road and headed to Salem where my fabulous aunt and uncle have AC and hospitality to boot. It was cooler there, in every sense of the word.

Some pics of my sweet relatives with the kiddos at Bite of Salem.
