Finding a killer deal on airfare, we headed to Georgia to spend a week with Austins parents and see his brother Andrew and his fabulous family. We also got to meet up with some old friends.
Austins parents asked us what we wanted to do to which Austin replied, "I want to be bored." Never boring, it was indeed a vacation though. The kids stayed up late, ran around crazy, explored nature and pretty much called the shots. That sounds like I'm describing "Lord of the Flies".
The first day we got there Munchkin was bit by fire ants. This resulted in her falling into mini-panic attack mode anytime any bug was in a 3 inch vicinity, which was a lot considering where we were. She felt safe in the comfort of her boots and Elton John-ish sunglasses, which, according to her, made the bugs "not see" her. So yeah, we have lots of pictures with those boots and glasses.
A typical outfit for the Munchkin. We gave her a jar to catch bugs in an attempt to calm her freaking out heart.
The kiddos were delighted to have cousins there for a few days. Munchkin and cousin Jared became best little friends and partners in crime.
Seriously though, it was fun. Random picture posting. Too tired to really go through them all right now.
